
Actor/Musician turned filmmaker, Nathan Wetherington made
his award winning debut feature film, A
Thousand Miles Behind in 2018 with a budget of just $25k and a crew of four people. The film
screened at over eighteen international
film festivals (including SBIFF and SIFF), winning
top prizes in the US, France, and Italy. It also went on to receive domestic and international distribution. Film Review Daily wrote of the film, "A Thousand Miles Behind
is something special and identifies Wetherington as a director of real promise."
He has since completed a feature length
documentary, several short films, has become an Academy Nicholl Fellowships semi-finalist screenwriter, and currently has three
narrative features in development, including a project
with collaborator Samantha
Quan (Anora, Red Rocket, The Florida project).
